Inspiration can come from anywhere...
Rotacaster Wheel Limited is a young, Australian company with a focus on innovative product design. We’ve taken an age old concept and put a new twist on it, developing a true alternative to the swivel caster.
The original concept for the Rotacaster multi-directional wheel was developed by founder, Henry Guile, whose inspiration came from the Bible.
The first chapter of Ezekiel describes a vehicle with four wheels and “their appearance and their work was as if it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.” From this simple idea, the Ezekiel Wheel was born.
Henry worked on his wheel for many years, but his dream was never fully realized. Many years later, Henry’s son, Graham, revisted his father’s early work, re-engineering the wheel into the Rotacaster wheel of today - a sturdy, robust wheel, adaptable to a vast array of applications and the solution to the many short falls of the traditional swivel caster.
Self Supporting Hand Truck
Rotatruck’s award-winning Self Supporting Hand Truck (patent pending) offers operators both immediate and longer-term benefits. Not only does it reduce the effort required, it reduces the repetition and duration of many activities associated with the use of hand trucks.
| Benefits |
| • |
Fully supports the load in a reclined operating position, removing the need to balance it |
| • |
Allows negotiation of obstructions, single steps and curbs without the need to reverse |
| • |
Levers load up a curb with much less force than with traditional hand trucks using a more ergonomic posture |
| • |
Reduces the pull-back effort required to change from an upright to operating position |
| • |
Allows loading to be completed in the operating position, removing the need to pull back heavy loads |
| • |
Frees up hands to open doors without parking or balancing the load |
| • |
Increased load stability means less chance of load spillage and stock spoilage |
| • |
Rotational and lateral (direct sideways) maneuverability makes it easier to handle loads in confined spaces such as elevators, corridors and storerooms |
